Bronze sculpture of Falcon
Lanea’s father, Gerald Richards, was an avid and well-known Utah falconer- he even did assemblies for schools throughout the southwest. I was in awe watching him with his ‘medium’. He spent countless hours breeding and training them and turned it into a true art. His birds were so keenly alert and intense, yet noble. I am really glad I ‘captured’ one of his falcons, cast it in bronze, and gave him one. Although he prematurely passed away a few years ago, while flying his hawks, all that knew him will never let his memory fade. His contribution to the sport was immeasurable! Thank you, Gerald.
