Our family had the privilege of living in rural Utah and having a few acres of land, so to see ring-necked pheasants was a common occurrence. Of course, the male rooster is absolutely spectacular in coloring, not to mention hearing his awesome calls during the day. But I also enjoy watching a hen zip by like a stealth jet and in a few seconds become totally obscure.
